Mastery in preservation: Our service promise
An R.O. Watch is not a fleeting possession; it is an instrument for life, designed to perform for generations. In our atelier in Heerlen we combine decades of goldsmithing experience with pioneering innovation. To safeguard the precision of your movement and the integrity of the patented Shock-System®, we recommend a full service once every four years.
Diagnosis & Analysis
Every service begins with a thorough inspection by our master watchmakers. We assess not only the power reserve and chronometric precision of the Swiss calibre, but also test the vital functions of the patented Shock-Swing springs. This analysis forms the foundation for restoring your watch to absolute factory specifications.

Case revision & aesthetics
After the movement has been carefully removed, the case is fully dismantled. Components of precious metal, carbon or ceramic are cleaned in an ultrasonic bath. We check every part for signs of wear; if needed, the case finish is refined to restore its original lustre and aesthetics. To guarantee water resistance to 5 ATM, all gaskets and seals of the screw-down crown and pushers are systematically replaced.
The beating heart: Movement overhaul
The mechanical movement (such as the Valjoux 7750, Valjoux 7751 or ETA 2892a2) is dismantled down to the smallest screw. Every part is cleaned to remove microscopic dust and oil residue. Wear-prone parts are inspected and, if necessary, replaced with original components. After reassembly, all pivots and bearings are re-lubricated with high-grade oils to minimise friction.

Assembly & calibration
Once the movement has been optimised, the dial and hands are mounted with the utmost precision. The mechanism finds its way back into the restored case, where it is reconnected to the floating Shock-System®. The watchmaker carries out the final fine adjustments before the transparent sapphire case back is hermetically closed, protecting against moisture and dust.
The ultimate trial: Quality control
Before your watch leaves the atelier, it undergoes an extensive test cycle. We measure accuracy in different positions, check the full power reserve and test water resistance under pressure. Only when the instrument meets our strict standards — the same that held up in space — is it handed over to you.
